Puppet theater, puppets and puppets are an integral part of the children’s world. When visiting the theater, children can become direct participants and in spontaneous play or play and branch therapy by the creators of the story themselves. The child is able to express his deep, often carefully hidden, emotions, internal conflicts and tensions through the puppet. Through puppets, he can express his relationship to his surroundings, and we, on the other hand, are able to capture the child’s level of self-esteem through a game sequence. Such a game very gratefully provides a generous space for ventilation and abrasion of tension. The child uses a puppet and does not have to confront the environment. The game eliminates the barrier between the child and his adult. It doesn’t matter if it’s a parent, a teacher, a psychologist or a doctor.

It is important that puppets occupy an important place in kindergartens and primary schools for children of younger school age (but they can really reach older children or even seniors) to appear in doctors’ clinics or to have nurses on hand. They find their irreplaceable place in speech therapy, special pedagogical and pedagogical-psychological counseling centers, not only in diagnostics, but especially during therapeutic intervention. The therapeutic playroom without puppets is losing its charm. Last but not least, the puppet has its place of work in every children’s room, where narrative adventures can take place every day.

Personally, I am very happy that we managed to get the Brno Municipal Authority as a puppet supplier. Here they make puppets with an unkind expression. It’s really important for dramatization that children have a choice of different expressions and emotional tunes.
